US government approves new Covid-19 2021/2022 Biden stimulus project
Democrats aligned with the American Biden government of the House passed the legislation in a 220-211 party line vote. No Republicans voted in favor. A Democrat voted against the bill: Rep. Jared Golden, from Maine.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki said today that Biden will sign the bill on Friday afternoon at the White House.
The approval of the bill marks the first major legislative achievement of the new government and of a Congress that is now under full democratic control, with a narrow majority in the House and Senate.
