“I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 Trail Boss 2LT with a 5.3L V8 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. I purchased it on April 19, 2019. I just hit over 96,000 miles after two years with the truck. Here is my long term update on the truck. She treated me very well.
The ONLY problem I ever had was when the parking sensor on the rear bumper got covered in mud and deactivated the entire parking sensor system until I cleaned it out. Other than that, not a single problem or hiccup with the truck. Oil changes and routine maintenance are all I did. He towed tractors, campers and a lot of gravel. He got stuck in the mud and traveled the jeep trails. It is no pavement princess and has been used as a truck to truck stuff as well as a daily driver. I can consistently get 20+ MPG on the highway with an average lifespan of 18.7 MPG over 96,000 miles (picture included).
I made some changes to the truck:
Pulsar LT has disabled DFM and autostop @ 70k miles
1.75 ″ Readylift leveling with new UCA
33.2 ″ Mickey Thompsons (original Duractrac tires are 32.6 ″)
MBRP cat-back exhaust system
GM cold air inlet
Calm intake air scoop
Some cosmetic updates
