3x3x3 LED Cube using Arduino UNO (UI Designed on LabVIEW)

In this project we designed a 3x3x3 LED CUBE and interfaced it through the Arduino running a code on the LabVIEW for different patterns as can be seen in the video.

A typical 3x3x3 LED Cube consists of 27 Light Emitting Diodes and these LEDs are arranged in rows and columns which in turn forms a cube. They are many type of cubes that can be designed but one should note that the work almost triples as we increase the number of rows or columns. For example, if you are planning to make a 4x4x4 cube you will have to deal with 64 LEDs. But the good news is, every cube works more or less in the same way. The reason why 3x3x3 LED cube is the simplest because of the advantage to it’s design: 1. For this cube you don’t have to think too much about the power consumption or dissipation. 2. Low power demand 3. No need of extra switching electronics 4. Also no swift registers or any other logic terminals are required.
Also since LED requies only 2mA current to run you can easily manage with Arduino UNO board itself since they are capable to supply almost 20-30mA and for our cube we would require 12pins of the Arduino UNO
