A key indicator of U.S. manufacturing activity and sentiment slipped in June, as companies and suppliers struggled to meet increasing demand. Record-long raw material lead times, shortages of critical basic materials, rising commodity prices and difficulties in transporting products are hurting the manufacturing economy.
