Placa Mercosul o governo federal não estabeleceu preço único para a nova placa, apostando na lógica da livre concorrência.

O governo federal, por meio do Serpro, Serviço Federal de Processamento de Dados, informou nesta quinta-feira, 19, que todos os estados brasileiros e o Distrito Federal estão aptos a emplacar veículos com o novo modelo da Placa de Identificação Veicular (PIV) no padrão Mercosul.

“O novo modelo corrige equívocos da antiga placa Mercosul, diminui o custo e garante mais segurança” afirma o ministro da Infraestrutura, Tarcísio Freitas. “Nós eliminamos todos os elementos da placa que a encareciam. Tiramos o chip e os elementos gráficos patenteados e, principalmente, abrimos para vários estampadores”.

O governo federal não estabeleceu preço único para a nova placa, apostando na lógica da livre concorrência. Segundo o Ministério da Infraestrutura, cabe aos Detrans estaduais e do Distrito Federal credenciar empresas capacitadas para estampar e para vender ao consumidor final. Dessa forma, o proprietário do veículo poderá buscar o valor mais em conta na hora de adquirir o item.

New Mercosur plate is now available in all states

“The new model corrects mistakes in the old Mercosur plate, reduces the cost and guarantees more security” says the Minister of Infrastructure, Tarcísio Freitas. “We eliminated all elements of the plaque that made it more expensive. We removed the chip and the patented graphic elements and, mainly, we opened it for several stampers ”.

The federal government did not establish a single price for the new plate, betting on the logic of free competition. According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, it is up to the state and Federal District Detrans to accredit companies capable of printing and selling to the final consumer. In this way, the owner of the vehicle will be able to find the most affordable value when purchasing the item.
